SCO International Olympiad is designed for global online participation, faster recognition and transparent digital award records.

Important Fulfilment Conditions

  • Physical medals, trophies or printed certificates are not part of the standard online award process.
  • Any exceptional physical award, if announced, will be subject to availability, logistics, customs, address verification and delivery feasibility.
  • Cash awards are applicable only for eligible Schools and Institutions, not individual participants.
  • All awards are subject to result verification, proctoring/integrity review, registration validity and final approval by SCO.
  • SCO may withhold, revise, substitute or cancel an award in cases of invalid registration, suspected malpractice, duplicate identity or policy violation.

Important Note on International Awards

  • SCO is an online-first global Olympiad. Unless specifically announced otherwise in writing by SCO, certificates, medals, badges, DPRs, score reports, Hall of Fame recognition and award records are issued digitally.
  • Cash awards are institutional awards only. Individual participants are not eligible for cash awards. Cash awards are applicable only for eligible Schools and Institutions, subject to SCO award rules and verification.
  • For up to 4 students with the same international rank, the applicable institutional cash award pool may be divided proportionately, along with any other applicable digital recognition.
  • If 5 or more students achieve the same international rank, cash awards will not be divided. Instead, each eligible winner will receive the applicable Gold, Silver or Bronze digital medal/badge and certificate. Gold winners may also be inducted into the SCO Hall of Fame.
  • Awards are subject to result verification, proctoring/integrity review, registration validity, school/institution eligibility, minimum participation criteria and final approval by SCO.
  • Minimum 10 valid participants per Olympiad exam/category may be required for medal/digital award allocation.
  • International awards are based on performance in the SCO International Round / applicable award round. Classes 1-2 may receive awards based on Level 1 performance where single-level exams are applicable.
Award Governance

Award Eligibility & Integrity Policies

SCO award policies are designed to keep global online recognition fair, transparent and operationally responsible.

Cash Award Policy

  • Institutional Only: Cash awards are applicable only for eligible Schools and Institutions. Individual participants are not eligible for cash awards.
  • Minimum Participation: Institutional cash award eligibility may require minimum valid paid registrations from the same School/Institution, Grade/Class and Olympiad category as published by SCO.
  • Verification Required: SCO may verify institution identity, student registration, payment status, result status and award category before approving any institutional cash award.
  • No Automatic Payout: Display of rank or score does not automatically create a cash award entitlement. Cash award approval is subject to final SCO verification.
  • Compliance: Award fulfilment may require tax, banking, identity, institutional authorisation or local compliance documentation.

Tie, Rank & Award Substitution Policy

  • Up to 4 Same-Rank Students: The applicable institutional cash award pool may be divided proportionately.
  • 5 or More Same-Rank Students: Cash award distribution will be replaced by applicable digital medal/badge, certificate and recognition.
  • Gold Hall of Fame: Eligible Gold winners may be inducted into the SCO Hall of Fame.
  • One Recognition Priority: Where multiple award categories overlap, SCO may apply the higher-level or most appropriate recognition.
  • Final Decision: SCO reserves the right to revise ranking, award category or fulfilment where verification identifies an error or policy breach.

Important Integrity Safeguard

SCO may withhold or cancel awards for invalid registration, duplicate identity, exam misconduct, proctoring violation, unauthorised assistance, payment reversal, data mismatch, technical misuse or any action that affects the fairness of the Olympiad.

Certificate Delivery & Verification

Digital certificate records may include:

  • Student name and class/grade
  • Olympiad name and exam cycle
  • Participation or award category
  • Rank or performance band, where applicable
  • Certificate code, issue date or verification reference, where available

Certificate delivery:

  • All standard certificates are issued as digital e-certificates
  • Delivered through registered email, SCO account or result portal where applicable
  • Students should ensure the correct email is used during registration
  • Check spam/junk folder if email delivery is delayed
  • Physical certificate or medal delivery is not standard unless separately announced by SCO in writing

Authenticity & Verification

SCO may provide a certificate code, QR/reference link or online verification record where available. A certificate or award record is valid only when it matches SCO’s official result/certificate system and published award rules.

1. Digital-First Fulfilment

SCO normally issues certificates, medals/badges, DPRs, Hall of Fame recognition and award records digitally. Standard physical delivery is not promised.

2. Institutional Cash Awards

Cash awards are applicable only for eligible Schools and Institutions. Individual students or independent participants are not eligible for direct cash awards.

3. Verification Before Award

Awards are subject to result checks, proctoring review, registration/payment validation, identity review and final approval by SCO.

4. Tie Policy

Up to 4 same-rank students may share the applicable institutional cash award pool. For 5 or more same-rank students, cash is replaced by digital medal/badge and recognition.

5. Award Substitution

SCO may substitute, revise or withhold an award where a published condition is not met, a rank is corrected, or fulfilment is not feasible.

6. Integrity & Fairness

Any attempt to misuse the exam system, violate proctoring rules, create duplicate identity or manipulate results may lead to disqualification.
